The Animal Art Show will showcase Prince Edward County’s artists and artisans, with works inspired by animals. In painting, pottery, photography, jewellery, textiles–and more–County artists will celebrate our fellow-creatures on Thanksgiving weekend, in Picton.
Humans have created animal art for as long as we have been human. From the cave-dwellers whose horses and bison leave us breathless; through the dogs and cats guarding ancient temples; to the rooster whose tailfeathers capture the joy in a Chinese calligrapher’s brush: nothing is more human than animal art.
